![]() Looking for the best tools to mix up a drink? ![]() ![]() Follow my lead and relive favorite hotel memories by making an exceptional hotel drink yourself. While sipping a hotel tipple on property might be more difficult right now, we have the recipes to mix them up at home so you can still enjoy a signature drink. Hotels have started reopening with new cleaning protocols in place, but that doesn't mean everyone is rushing into stays, or that the bars are even open since indoor dining is still restricted or at a limited capacity in many places. I've even mixed up the Ilún from Tierra Chiloé (included below) myself when I was feeling particularly nostalgic for the hotel's rustic wooden bar, copper fireplaces, and cozy oversized couches. Some of my favorite bars happen to be hotel bars, from lobby lounges with moody lighting and plush seating to oceanfront watering holes where I can imbibe while watching the waves in the distance. That makes it tough to stop by a happy hour with friends or enjoy sipping favorite cocktails at your local bar down the block as you might have before. Due to the continuing pandemic, most people still aren't gathering in groups, and many restaurants and bars are still only open for takeout or outdoor seating.
